NMMS Scholarship 2023 Registration

The Ministry of Education has released a new scheme named as the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) scheme where the students of the weaker sections will get the scholarships to continue with their education. The students who have completed their Class 7th with minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme where they will get Rs 12000 per year which will continue till Class 12th. The students who are in Class 8th and their family income is less than 3.5 lakh pa shall apply for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme 2023 where they will have to appear for the scholarship exam. The scholarship will be provided to the meritorious students of the states and those who are in need of it.

NMMS Scheme Eligibility 2023

• The students must have passed Class 7th examination with a minimum of 55% marks.
• The students of reserved category will be given 5% relaxation in their scores.
• The students shall be studying in Class 8th in the session 2023-24.
• The annual income of the family shall be less than 3.5 lakh rupees.
• The students shall be studying as regular students in Government, Government aided or local schools.
• The ones studying in NVS, KVS, Sainik Schools and private schools shall not be eligible to participate in the examination. 

UP NMMS Scheme Requirements 2023

• The following are the requirements to continue with the UP NMMS Scholarship 2023.
• One needs to pass Class 8th examination with 55% marks to get a scholarship in Class 9th.
• The ones who pass Class 9th will get a scholarship in Class 10th.
• After scoring 60% marks in Class 10th, one can get a scholarship in Class 11th.
• The ones who will pass Class 11th shall get scholarship in Class 12th.
